Luke 12:34 says, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

I treasure Jesus most of all. I feel certain you would say that too, if asked. But sometimes we treasure what we think will make us happy.

Matthew 5:20 says, “For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.” (NIV)

Psalm 51:10 says, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me.”

These words were penned by King David when he had sinned with Bathsheba, and Nathan, the prophet, confronted the king with his sin.

Luke 23:34a says, Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” (NIV)
