You Are Worth It!

Matthew 10:31 says, “So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”

Sparrows weren’t worth much in Jesus’ time, and they are very common in our time as well. There are at least 35 species in North America.

As common as they are, God knows when even one falls to the ground. And Jesus tells us we are worth more than many sparrows.

So why are you and I afraid? Maybe it’s the awful news all around us. Maybe we can’t see a way out of our circumstances. Maybe we are in a dark place that Jesus wants to break through with His light.

But whatever we are facing, we don’t need to be afraid. Jesus knows. He cares. He is good. He loves us.

Oh, Child of God, you are so worth it to Him! To the extent He died for you then rose again to live forever. He forgives your sins and makes you new. You don’t even need to be afraid. He is with you. He is for you!
