Pick a Fruit!
Galatians 5:22-23 says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”
During a recent Bible study, I was asked what fruit of the Spirit I needed to work most on in my life. That’s a tough one for me because I need to practice them all!
I’m thinking right now would be a good time to make some changes. How about you? What would our world be like if all believers focused on one or two of the fruits and practiced them as the Spirit leads and gives opportunity?
For example, I choose to work on love and kindness. Not just a loving feeling, but to concentrate on anonymous acts of love and kindness as I listen for the Spirit’s voice to whisper his guidance. Pretty soon, love and kindness will be a regular thought process, a supernatural transformation of my mind.
So how about it? Why not choose one or two fruits as your focus and see what God can do? I can’t wait to see what He will do.
And there you go!
