Truth Restores the Soul

Psalm 23:3a says, “He restores my soul…”

Recently, I went away alone for a few days of fasting and prayer. Sometimes I need cleansing of both the soul and body. In my business, it is easy to lose focus on God and His perspective on things. But in the quietness of only God and me, I hear Him speak to my soul.

This time, He showed me I should think on what is true. Only what is true. Not what I make up or worry will happen. But only what I know is true or real right now. This truth is restoring to my soul.

It is easy to think my understanding of things is true, but actually only God’s understanding is the only complete truth. And the truth of the matter is, He wants me and you to know His plan - His will for us. And when we think on the truth, really meditate on it by reading and memorizing God’s Word, then our soul is restored. Praise God for His peace. The peace that is both mine and yours.
