Perfect Love

1 John 4:18 says, There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and he who fears is not perfected in love.

The problem is our love is not perfect. However, it could be if we allowed Jesus’ love to flow through us.

Notice this verse does not say we won’t have fear, but that perfect love casts it out. So when we even start to fear we need to remind the enemy that Jesus’ love in us dismisses fear from our mind.

Afraid of sharing Christ with others? His love casts out fear.

Afraid of losing a relationship? His love casts out fear.

Afraid you can’t face another day? His love casts out fear!

Afraid of death and dying? His love casts out fear!

And His love and power gives us the victory as we obey His directives and carry out His will.

Oh what a thought! He loves me, and I can love others because He loves me. So fear, take a hike!
