Carry the Light!

2 Corinthians 4:6-7 says, “For God, who said, ‘Let there be light in the darkness,’ has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.”

Lisa and Greg, children of my older siblings, were in a youth group choir at their church. The choir’s name was His Power and Light Company.

This choir sang to spread the Light of Christ that was shown by God in their hearts. They were not the source nor did they supply this energy or power. They were part of the transfer of this power.

As are we!

Brothers & sisters, may we never lose sight that we must share this Light - Christ, the glory of God - with others! The darkness is enclosing us all around, but Light, The Light, shall shine out of darkness! God says so!
