It is Well with my Soul...Seriously!

Lamentations 3:22-23 says, The Lord’s loving kindnesses, indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.

Oh, bless the name of The Lord. His faithfulness and loving kindnesses (more than one) never, ever cease. When I awake each morning, His mercies are new.

When sadness overtakes me, darkness seems to be my lot, and I think things can’t get worse, this verse reminds me that if I wake up on earth or in heaven, His mercies are new, and He will not —cannot — forget to be faithful. For He is God!

Tho Satan should buffet,
Tho trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And has shed His own blood for my soul.

That’s why it’s well with my soul. Because His mercies and loving kindnesses will never fail me. Every morning I’m covered by his blood, and He has a plan for my life each day.  And there you go!
