Blessed Peacemakers

Matthew 5:9 says, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”

Is there such a thing as a peacemaker in our world today? Seriously!

As we look around this planet, we see protests, fightings, brutality and killing. The news is full of hatred and war. In the midst of it all Jesus is still heard saying the words recorded in the book of Matthew, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.”

Peacemakers calm situations, even when the situations are escalated and out of their control. Peacemakers are satisfied with their life because Jesus gives them joy through God’s favor and salvation. Because of this, they are clearly viewed as children of God. For who else could act this way except someone who knows their Savior is bigger than any situation? They have peace and share it with others, no matter how bleak things look.

Even in the most tragic of circumstances, the peacemaker knows all is well for eternity, for those who know Him.
