God's Name is Holy

Matthew 6:9b says, "...hallowed be your name."

Often when I pray I go straight into my “give me” list, but truthfully, God is to be hallowed or sanctified, set-apart from any other. So giving praise and honor to God should always come first in my prayer time.

For He alone is holy, perfect, and worthy of praise. Because of His perfection, He is the Giver of all good & perfect gifts.

So praising Him can come in song, or shouts, or quiet reflection of His greatness. Hallowed is His name! Someday everyone will acknowledge that Holy name. So let’s start today!

Praise Him! Praise Him! All you who are His. Praise His Holy Name!
