Getting Back in the Game

Matthew 6:12 says, “And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.”

This part of the Lord’s Prayer is a doozie! Sometimes I’m pretty slow about forgiving those who have sinned against me which possibly hurts them, but probably causes me the greatest harm.

After all, I’ve been forgiven. I should be quick to forgive. But when I’ve been hurt so deeply, I tend to justify my anger towards the person. It seems some wounds are so deep they never get healed. That may be because I don’t have the capacity to forgive as I should. Here’s the amazing thing, though. I don’t have to. I have Jesus living in me, and he will provide what I need to release my hurt. I’m learning to forgive with his help. I’ve come to understand healing is a process that may take time because some wounds have been there for awhile.

Healing can begin today. Is there someone you need to forgive? Do it now! It’s time to learn to forgive, and get back in the game. With Jesus on your team, the outcome is truly supernatural!

And there you go!
